From paperwork to protection: Meet Anna, the woman keeping you safe at work

Anna Cho is the go-to person for all things safety at Andrews Meat Industries. As the Workplace Health and Safety Officer, she’s committed to looking out for the team and making sure everyone has a safe, healthy place to work.
Anna began her career with Creative Food Solutions in an admin role, but it didn’t take long for her dedication to shine through. Her eye for detail and team-first attitude quickly made her someone everyone relied on.
“Everyone at Creative Food Solutions has played a part in shaping my career,” Anna says. “Starting in admin, my colleagues helped me pick up a range of skills that gave me a solid foundation.”
An opportunity in compliance soon arose, working with the Production and Quality Assurance teams – and Anna jumped in with Andrew Meat Industries’ support.
She completed Fire Warden Training and got her Train-the-Trainer Certification, boosting both her leadership skills and technical know-how. The team cheered her on as she tackled a challenging 10-month Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, helping her become a master of all safety rules and best practices.
A major career milestone for Anna came when she was encouraged to take on safety duties. “I was a bit unsure at first,” she admits, “but with everyone’s support, I slowly gained confidence and really settled into the role.”
Anna says the teamwork and support at Creative Food Solutions have been huge in helping her get where she is today. From her admin teammates who helped her build a solid foundation, to the Quality Assurance and Production crews who showed her the ropes on operations and food safety – having people across departments willing to guide her has made all the difference.
Career paths aren’t always straight lines, and as the Workplace Health and Safety Officer, Anna’s been able to bring a fresh perspective to the role thanks to her hands-on experience across different parts of the business.
